untitled.

sometimes i wonder what this blog is all about. who is it for? why do i blog? i started blogging just to talk, i guess. i like to talk about my family ... and how we spend our days.  occasionally i do a review and sometimes a giveaway, but that's really not the purpose of my blog. i think, sometimes, bloggers can get distracted by giveaways.  i know i can.  i can get caught up with the potential of the free things and the prospect of followers, however, when i take a step back, i realize i want real readers.  i spend nap time at least every other day catching up on the blogs that i read regularly.  i don't always comment, but i'm trying to get better about commenting.  i love reading other parent's blogs.  i love learning about their parenting styles and their kids.  i truly, truly love it.

i guess my point in all of this is that, while i'll continue to have giveaways here and there (and i do have a few currently lined up, so don't worry!) , the reason for my blog may seem to shift.  i think that's okay. each day i learn a little bit more about being a mama, being a wife, being a friend, and being myself.  and that's what's most important.  being myself.

so if you're still interested in reading along, i'd love to hear from you ... i'd love to know why you read the blogs you read and how they keep you interested.  in the meantime, if you're looking for more to read, check out my favorites in the sidebar.

I really enjoy reading all you girls blogs because I just get more of a sense of who you are, what your lives are like within your family. Sometimes on the boards we are quick to answer each other and maybe do a quick AFM about ourselves but with a blog I feel like the blogger has had time to sit and think out what they want to say, giving me more of a glimpse into who they are and what they are thinking.

I can honestly say that I love your blog. I check back here almost daily to see if there are new posts. I agree with Shannon that it gives me more of a sense of who you are and your family life. And I love seeing the pics of B!! =)

I read your blog! Yours is one of the few I ACTUALLY do read! I've realized I follow WAAY too many blogs and I can't keep up! A lot of it IS because of giveaways - but I love to read blogs from other Mom's. :) Keep doin' what you're doing girl... You got a follower in me! :)

It was great to meet you in person today! Too bad we didn't realize how close we were until we moved away. I feel the same way about the review/giveaways...it can get overwhelming preparing for them too.

Hopefully we will hang out again soon!
